new website with a full-featured business directory
The Gaslamp Quarter is an iconic San Diego destination, home to hundreds of businesses and hosting thousands of events—including the legendary San Diego Comic-Con. The Gaslamp Quarter Association approached us to rebuild their website from the ground up, improving the member directory experience and seamlessly meshing with their “New Normal is Now” campaign. As the Lead Designer and Developer at Runningfish, I was involved in the entire process of ideating and building the new website.

Beginning with existing visuals from the New Normal is Now campaign, I designed high-fidelity mockups in Figma for a number of key pages. We then worked with the GQA to refine the color palette and iconography so the site has its own identity.
As the lead developer on the site, I created a custom Divi theme for the site, built each master template to be used by the team, and integrated the major plugins, including the business directory and event calendar.
After the site was launched, I designed a print brochure to help the GQA sell ad spots to member businesses. I also helped prep the site for 3rd party banner ads throughout.
